Uhhh, all Bungie has made since 2005 (when he started apparently) is Halo. Maybe that's why it's all he listed. The unannounced project could be a Halo game, but you can't come to that conclusion based off of that listing from Murray.
Looks like the time for me to pick up a PS3 is nigh. I am all over that Amazon bundle.
There really is nothing to dislike about Bungie as a company. They treat their community very well, they have a record of good games (Halo, Marathon, and Myth), and they've made at least one game for a Sony platform before (Oni).
If the game is good and is on the PS3 as well as the 360, there's no reason not to buy it.
To answer your other two questions, I'd like to see an action RPG or FPS/RPG (Large open world) from Bungie. And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised...
Lets not forget he's talking franchises too. Looking at the full breadth of a franchise, not necessarily a single game of said franchise.
I've played all of those except Team Fortress (I know, I'm ashamed) and I can't say I disagree with the list. Maybe some rearranging, but it's a good list of great shooter franchises.
Bungie making a multi-plat game isn't totally insane. It will not be exclusive because of their huge fan base on the 360, but because they aren't owned by MS they could very well have a game on the PS3 as well. I know a little while back they were looking for a publisher and MS wasn't the only one in the running. If MS didn't get exclusive rights to whatever their next project is then it could very well be on the PS3 as well as the 360.
Where in that tweet does it insinuate that the trailer will be a live action short of some kind? Stating that it isn't CG likely means that it's done in engine like Bungie always does. That makes way more sense than it being a live action short.
Ok, I kind of reiterated what BreakNeck said. That's what I get for just posting my thoughts without seeing if someone else has already said it.
Yeah, I would imagine he means more specialized type CQC. Stealth kills and things of that nature. Something other than just beatdowns. Sounds good to me.
And it's common knowledge among anyone who visits Bnet that Bungie has been working on, at the very least, one other project other than Reach. There was a bunch of news about them looking for a publisher for that game a while back.
But I'm laughing at him. Lowest resolution game this gen. haha. CoD 4 says hi. Native 630p. Lower than Halo 3. The rest isn't worth replying to. At least try harder not to be a moron.
As for GOTY for the VGA's. You know UC2 is going to win. It has to. I'm a 360 only owner (for now at least) and I think it should be GOTY by a wide margin.
I could not agree more with that comment. The only logical and decent post on here.
Bubbles for you.
Do people just like to be offended? (I realize where this story came form, but you know someone is actually offended) They sure do look for reasons to be. Political correctness is one of the many things making the newest generation a bunch of pansies. A word is only offensive if you let it be, especially one that has other non-derogatory meanings. If you're offended, it just means you're a moron looking for a reason to complain.
Non-derogatory terms cannot be derogatory in conte...
Brian Jarrard said it's "possible" we get something like screens before Christmas as a nice little present from Bungie. And they were going over the next promotional material for Reach in a meeting yesterday, so there's a little more possibility.
I gotta say, if they doubled the price of LIVE, they'd lose this customer. I'd sell my Xbox for a PS3 or just finally buckle down and build me a nice pc gaming rig.
Agreed. I spent more time with Oblivion that with any other game (aside from Halo, but that has multiplayer). I didn't even have the money to purchase the DLC and I still spent that much time. Amazingly fun game. Can't wait for a sequel.
Probably a good move by MS, but hell if I'll buy one. You can get a BR player for 100 bucks or less now and they work just fine (off brand or not). HD streaming is going to be the main thing for MS and the 360, not the BR add-on, it's just another option.
Agreed wholeheartedly.
And on top of that, the whole Halo Wars commercial deception was ridiculous. Everyone who had any intention on buying the game should know what it is. Sure, maybe it sold well because it's Halo, but those who bought it knew what kind of game it was. If they didn't know, that's their own fault, not MS or the commercial. You can't blame a commercial on someone being a moron and not doing their own research.
Terrible article.
Wow. that really looks nice. Very polished looking. One of my favorites back in the day. Who doesn't love the laptop gun?
Ok, I got nothing against HHG but I think he should take that comment and listen to it again. Major Nelson did not say the PS3 is collecting dust. He said he'd be happy when he came to your place (I'm guess HHG's place) and saw the PS3 off with dust on it. (paraphrasing a bit, but it's way closer than the title of this article is). He wants the 360's lineup to be good enough to cause a Sony fans PS3 to collect dust. Nothing bad and that brings me to my next point.
Don't go turnin...
Agreed with both of you. He give a lot of different games praise. Yes, he works for MS, but that doesn't stop him from liking all good games and owning all systems. He's not like most of the kids on this website who hate a console for no reason (And if he did hate on PS3, at least he gets paid for it, unlike all the fan boys here).
Crackdown 2 for Demon's Souls? I think MS and Sony should share those two.
We all know that having every game on every console wouldn't work though. It would make things far too difficult. Each system would have to be the exact same to have the same quality games on both. We see how that sometimes turns out with multiplats (although it's getting better).
I see no one in this story figured out how to use their brain. Read the story, use your head, and you'll realize the article is coming to a conclusion based off of nothing. Bungie has stated they have a new IP in the works and that is probably what the unannounced project is.
These comments prove that no one reads the article. All they read is the title and throw in their two cents.
